Added tour dates for the groop starting in March of 2004. They'll hit U.S. shores on the 27th somewhere on the west coast.

The discography is close to being completed. All images and track listings have been added. The only area that seems to be unfinished at this point is the "Guest Appearances" section.

Thanks again to our resident transcriber and translator David, there are loads more new lyrics, including Cache Cache, Freestyle Dumpling, ABC, St. Elmo's Fire, Calim»ro, and An»mie.
Check out the lyrics section so you can finally understand what Laetitia was saying in French all that time.

Thanks again to Jeff W., there are several new concert posters added in the gallery section.
also added were some additional album covers to the discography section, and many of the lyrics are being constantly updated to correct mistakes and fill in blanks. Enjoy.

David, our resident song translator/transcriber is at it again, going back through all the old songs making corrections and adding missing phrases and verse.
Jeff, the phenomenal discography guru, has been hard at work adding LOADS more information on compilations, collaborations, and any 'lab related record that's been released. The discography section is growing by leaps and bounds.
thanks for all the hard work guys, and everyone else, check out their great work!

Thanks to help from a dedicated fan, the discography has seen a burst of growth in images and information, along with the number of stereolab-related records where the band has had something, nay, anything to do with it's/their production.
A big thanks to Jeff Worrell, whom I let in the secret back door (which bangs him in the hindquarters every time he logs in - inside joke) to add all this wonderous material. Keep up the great work, Jeff!!
I'll be adding addtional images as Jeff sends them and as I have time.

I've got the individual lyrics page listing which albums a specific track appears on. Currently that includes the bootleg CD's that are currently floating around, which I'll probably discontinue.
I might also add a feature that lists which tourdates a specific song was performed on... We'll see. Just playing around with the database!

I've posted a first stab at the lyrics to a couple of the new tracks.
They're only partial versions as the samples offered are only 2 minutes, and the real audio quality on the machine I was using was less-than-hi-fi.
Also - songs w/out lyrics (ie: instrumentals) aren't showing up properly in the discography - but it's a problem I'm aware of and working on.
Check out the new lyrics:

I've added a "previous / next" feature to both the official news2 and the site news2 sections of the site.
It's not working 100% correctly, but it was close enough for me to implement it on the site.
looking forward to the new tracks!

I've completed the majority of the work behind the scenes for the discography, so I've linked it all up and replaced the old outdated pages.
With the last few steps of this redesign, this site has gone from several hundred pages to maintain to a handful under 20.
I'll be adding content to the discography over the next couple weeks to try to get everything corrected and properly linked, so there may be small periods where pages look goofy and have incorrect data, so don't worry if you see things wrong/bad during that time.

Well, I've got some of it actually working!
I've only entered the EP's for now, and a lot of information isn't showing up yet, but I've got the track listings showing up (except for those without lyrics - that's another SQL/PHP statement I've yet to build) and the songs link to their respective lyrics!
I'll be adding a couple other discs to flesh out the categories before I start adding disc jpgs and the rest of the info.
I'm finally getting around to building the discography in the database.
Most of the information is already available on the official stereolab site, and they really have quite a lot of material on the site, so most of this will be replication.
A small chunk, however, will include the bootlegs and rarities, and another chunk including any/all compilation albums and/or collaborations.
I've currently finished adding all the LP's save for the ABC music double LP. I'll probably put the new discography section up before it's complete since it will finally tie the whole site together and start to link things back up properly with regard to lyrics, albums, tracks, etc.

from martin @ duophonic:
i hope that all is well with you?
I think that track that you have up is by Sigmatropic - I believe that they are Greek. Laetitia contributed a vocal to one of their songs for an LP called 'International Project', at least I think that's the title. I haven't heard the finished song, other than via your site, but it certainly isn't anything from our new EP / LP. I think the Sigmatropic LP is out in October though.

I'm working up some slight site redesigns to the site...
I will be incorporating style sheets so people can choose what type of style they view the site in, all related to the groop's albums. So far, I've got two versions available (except for the message center, which will be a pain in the ass to revamp).
Things may look goofy for a short while during the ensuing work - don't be alarmed - all will return to normal soon.
Lyrics to "You used to call me sadness" have been added, and I fixed a problem with my database that was not letting me edit any existing lyrics. I'll be going back through some recent emails and making the necessary lyric corrections I thought I'd already done.

While the discography redesign is still pending, I've gone through the site and done some general clean up of some of the pages - just little things that probably only I notice.
Discography redesign will hopefully be accomplished in February or March.
