This collection presents a band in all their wistful pop glory. Ten songs. blend of vintage electronics, bubbly effervessence, noise bursts, outstanding female voices, bossa nova and light spacey age bachelor pad music and groovy bounce. At last after some obscure years, again lovely music floating along in the Scandinavian stream. As they state: LFP is a collective started among friends with the simple aim of making beautiful and touching pop music."

Plenty of Moog, horns, flutes, female vocals, etc.
They obviously spend a lot of time listening to Stereolab, but is that such a bad thing? Seems one of the curses for us Llamas/Lab fans is that we are always searching for similar bands, but there aren't any. That's what makes Stereolab and the High Llamas rise above the rest. But le Futur Pompiste is not far below. This album sounds kind of like a D.I.Y. Stereolab record, but in a good way ala Anthony Rochester's "Music for Listening and Relaxing".
