| This might be common knowledge, but the back cover of Random Noise Bursts was based *exactly* on the back covers to Enoch Light's Persuasive/Provacative Percussion LP's of the early '60s. The Groop even credited Andy on Bursts as "persausive percussion" to further the connection... : A looong time ago I started working on a 'Stereolab Album Cover Art Inspired By' project for the unofficial site. I had several people email me jpgs of album covers that directly influenced stereolab's album covers ("the groop played space-aged bachelor pad music" was inspired by an old "Vanguard Stereolab LP" record of classical music, "Sound-Dust" was inspired by a movie poster for some Roman Polanski film? [can't remember for sure], etc etc). : Unfortunately, I can't find any of those original jpgs people sent me, and, for the life of me, I can't remember any of the 'inspirational' art that came to be an album cover. : If anyone remembers/knows of any, please email me with names, jpgs, etc. : --
