| Those lyrics are not written in the sleeve, but towards the end of the song (when Laetitia sings "La volonté de puissance..."/"The will to power", there is another lyric track sung simultaneously with the main lyrics, full to the right side. It's: "À chacun l'amour apporte l'espace infini, l'envie de vivre. ?eh! non/Et non?, c'est un sage démon, on en a jamais fini avec lui." Translation: "To everyone, love brings infinite space and the will to live. ? Eh! no/and no?, love is a wise demon, with whom we are never done." Lawrence and I discussed a little about what to put between the question marks in the translation. "Alas" would be the logic choice, but I'm really not sure if it would be the most accurate translation. One thing is mostly certain: In french, Lae either says "Hé! Non" or "Et non". Whichever you choose, it sounds a little silly (just like "les nourriciers/the nurturers" in "Need to Be" seems silly both in French And English). It would have been much simpler if Lae said "Hélas" (alas). No matter what, the meaning is quite clear. That's what really matters. Enough nitpicking! |
